About Us
Six decades of timber.
One home for premium furniture.
House of Mahalakshmi is a new chapter in a family story that began in 1960, from a small village, Pollachi, in South India. What started as a small timber trading business under the vision of our founder Shri Yashpal Nanda has grown, over three generations, into Mahalakshmi Timber Exports & Imports Pvt. Ltd; one of India's trusted names in the wood industry.
For four decades, we have imported round logs and sawn timber from across the globe, supplying wood to some of India's largest industries; including plywood manufacturers, paper mills, builders, and saw millers, wholesale and retail. Alongside this, we run our own sawmill. Timber isn't just what we sell; it's what we understand, deeply, in every grain and finish.
House of Mahalakshmi carries that same understanding into the world of finished furniture. It's our vertical integration; a curated space for premium wood furniture, thoughtfully selected for homes that value quality at affordable prices.
Wood is in our DNA.
